       In order to flow-through IDEA monies to the school districts, the Bureau of Special Ed contracts with each IU (as the LEA).  We must give the state our assurance that we will follow the appropriate laws and regulations related to IDEA. 

       In order to have consistency in the documentation for the federal auditors, the state asks each IU to adopt the policies and procedures rather than trying to create individual IU policies and procedures.

       After board approval, Amy will sign the document and submission paper for our submission to PDE-BSE.
